Demetrio Rojas, Jr., age 72 of Chicago, IL passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maria (Vargas) Rojas; 6 children: Carlos Rojas, Evelia Rojas-Valdivia, Raul Rojas, Rolando Rojas, Sonia Rojas and Gloria Rodriguez; 2 sisters, Esperanza and Guadalupe Rojas; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Demetrio Rojas and Guadalupe Marquez.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Nestor Varon officiating. Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the time of the Mass at 11:00 am at the Church on Friday morning.
