Eduardo "Eddie" Berrones

Eduardo “Eddie” Berrones, age 55, of Hammond, IN, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019.  Eduardo is survived by his step father, Arturo Serrano; siblings:  late Daniel (Joanne) Berrones, Rosemary (Carlos) Salinas, Yolanda (late Gerald) Earl, and Henry (Cathy) Berrones; sister-in-law, Joanne Berrones; special nieces:  Erica and Elizabeth, known to him  as his “biscuit heads”; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by his parents:    Bardomiano and Lupe Berrones.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 18, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Terry Steffens officiating.  Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2019 and from 9:30 am until time of Mass at the Church on Friday morning.

Eddie was a former employee of Inland Steel Company; He had a love for music and was the lead singer in his rock n’ roll band “Lawless” – Eddie loved his band family which included Ric Torres, Tommy Lopez, Lou Fuentes Mick Montrose, Steve V., Bert Flores and Steve Michner; Eddie had a love for reading which made him very knowledgeable in politics, religion and current events.  His love for life made him the life of the party.  He loved his family dearly.  Eddie was a very loving and giving person; he was an organ donor through the Gift of Hope whereby he will continue to live on and help thirty-six recipients of his gift.  To share a memory or send a condolence, logon to: www.fifefuneralhome.com
