Eudelia M. “Lee” “Lela” Varela, age 76 of East Chicago, IN passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021. She is survived by 2 children, Feliz (Jose) Rosalez and Felix Varela, Jr.; 8 grandchildren: Joey Rosalez, Ralph (Christine) Rosalez, Christine (Ismael) Rodrigiuez, Joel Rosalez, DeAnita Rosalez and Oscar C. Rosalez, Felix C. Varela and Adrian A. Varela; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Oscar Cruz, Jr; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Felix T. Varela, Sr.; parents, Oscar, Sr. and Olivia Cruz; sister, Minerva Mireles.
Private cremation services were provided by FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN.
Eudelia was a former employee at Southeast Medical in Chicago, IL, and a member of Faith Church Dyer. She was an avid bowler who was Secretary of the League and also coached the youth leagues.
