Felipe "Fafa" M. Puente

Felipe M. "Fafa" Puente, age 93 of Highland, IN formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away Monday, December 28, 2020.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria G. Puente; 4 children: Frank (Debra) Puentes, Michael (Jane) Puentes, Marie Puente and Georgina (Eduardo) Garcia;  3 granddaughters: Jennifer (Matt) Gougherty, Azalea Garcia and Amalia Garcia;  siblings: Tony (Sally) Hernandez, Mary Custin and Angie Damon; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by son, Felipe M. Puente, Jr.; 2 brothers, Lino Puente and Cosmo Hernandez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Terry Steffens officiating.  Burial to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN.  Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 4, 2021 and from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Tuesday morning. **(A MAXIMUM of 25 People will be Allowed in the Funeral Home at one time and MASKS and SOCIAL DISTANCING will be Required)**
