Gilberto R. Lopez

Gilberto R. Lopez, age 64 of East Chicago, IN passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at home.  He is survived by his son, Gilberto M. Lopez; 2 granddaughters, Cynthia E. Lopez and Vivica S. Lopez; great granddaughter, Aaliyah Harper Lopez; siblings: Joaquin (Carol) Lopez, Cynthia Lopez, Leticia (Luis Angel) Berrios and Ernesto (finance Maria Jimenez Gacsy) Suarez; numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto and Jobita Lopez; brother, Gabriel Suarez; sister, Maria Carmen Rivera.

Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 pm to  8:00 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024.  Private cremation to follow.

Gilberto was former employee at Inland Steel Company, National Briquette and a Security Guard at St. Catherine Hospital.  Gilberto enjoyed playing the guitar and was a big fan of “Jesus”, the Chicago  Bears and the Boston Red Sox.  In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated. (See link below to Gilberto R.
