Gloria M. (Corona) Trevino

Gloria (Corona) Trevino, age 70. Late of Hammond In., formerly of South Chicago (Bush), passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024. Loving mother of Joel (Ophelia)Trevino, Sonia (Beto Mota) Trevino, and Gloria Trevino. Proud grandmother of Sonia “Buela” Trevino, Jorge F. Gomez, Margarita (Jahari Davis) Gomez, Anastacia (Ryan Lovings) Gomez, Javier (Karina Miramontes) Trevino, Francisco Trevino. Devoted Great Grandmother of Melanie Chanel Gomez, Audrey Lovings, and Baby Lovings. Preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Juanita Corona, the love of her life, Fulgencio “T” (Tato) Trevino,and her treasured nephew Roy Villalobos. Dear sister to 13 siblings, but closest to Maria “Hena” Villalobos, Frank (Yolanda) Corona, and Jesus “Jesse” Corona. Dedicated aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Gloria enjoyed life in the kitchen cooking for her family and anyone who would sit at her table. Her door was always open and she loved using expressive language as an anchor to show her love. She represented her Spanish Chantel friends and missed her best friend Francis everyday. She was a devoted wife and talked about her husband often.

Our mother showed us tough love and life will never be the same without her. Everyone who knew Gloria knew she was very private and didn’t want anyone crying over her.
