Jacqueline "Jackie" Nelson Harper

Jacqueline Nelson Harper “Jackie”, age 59, of East Chicago, Indiana, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at home.  Jackie is survived by her two daughters:  Lekitia Nelson (Alfonzo) Holmes and Tomeka Harper; five grandchildren:  Christopher Harper, Casshyra Bennett, Jacquan Nelson, Paris Agee, and Jaylana Thomas; mother, Inez Parks; sisters, Myra Nelson and Patricia Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family and friends all over the world.  Preceded in death by her father, Emmanuel Nelson; brothers:  Emmanuel Nelson, Jr., and Michael Nelson; and sister, Veronica White.

There will be no public services, private cremation..

Jackie was a woman of God and anyone that knew her, she always encouraged them to get to know who God was; she always loved her entire family and was always help with her last.  Jackie loved to run her own business, selling clothes and anything else she could get her hands on!  Will be loved and missed by so many.  May her memories carry on and be never forgotten.  In the words of Jackie “now let us all pray”

Our Father, who art in heaven

Hallowed be thy name

Thy kingdom come

Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread

And forgive us our trespasses

As we forgive our trespassers

And lead us not into temptation

But deliver us from evil

For thine is the kingdom

And the power and the glory
