John E. Peter, age 76 of Merrillville, IN passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Bienvenida (Jaime) Peter; 2 daughters, Mary C. (Ruben) Alamillo and Josephine Santos; 3 grandchildren: Elisha (Jacob) Gomez, Alexis Alamillo and Elijah Dozier; 3 great grandchildren: Josiah, Audrey and Elyana; 6 brothers and 3 sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Ann Peter.
Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN.
