Kelley R. Holmes

Kelley R. Holmes, age 26, of East Chicago and Hammond, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023.  Kelley is survived by his mother, Mia Holmes; 2 brothers:  Bryan Holmes and Dashaun Holmes; auntie, Princess Holmes; auntie, Shelly; and cousins:  Sterling Dockery, Diamond Holmes, Brittney Keller; Javon, Dominique, Tino, Felicia, and Tamika; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at East Chicago Church, 4427 Olcott Avenue, East Chicago, Indiana with Funeral Services beginning at 6:00 pm, Pastor Manuel Colazzari officiating.  Private cremation to follow.

Kelley was born in Chicago and raised in East Chicago; he was a member of East Chicago Church, where he was an active and much loved member.  He is responsible for and leaves a legacy in inspiring "Paying it Forwards, Warm Hearts Community Meals" program.  Because of Kelley, numerous homeless people will be able to share in a warm meal every Thursday evening at Abundance Hall at East Chicago Church.  Kelley's warm smile and kind heart were a bright light to all who met him.  He is much loved and will be missed by his family, friends and the community.  Memorial Donations in Kelley's memory may be made to his Family.  To send an online condolence, logon to: www.fifefuneralhome.com
