Maria de la Luz Ramirez de Cuellar, age 72 of East Chicago, IN passed away Monday, February 1, 2021.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Simeon Cuellar; 4 children: Jesus, Hugo, Luz and Junior; 16 grandchildren: Victor Alan, Christian, Jesus, Jessica, Giovanni, Hugin, Jonathan, Christopher, Eric, Juan Antony, Braulio, Kevin, Elian, Israel, Daylin and Jacob;  6 great grandchildren: Jaylen, Josiah, Uriel, Brian, Kaylee, Anavey and Emiliano; 5 sisters: Elisa, Carmela, Estela, Concha and Juany.

Visitation at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 4, 2021 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Carlos Sosa officiating.  Burial will be held in Manuel Doblado, Guanajuato, Mexico at a later date.
