Our mother was a warrior; strong, and kind. She embodied a servants heart always welcoming and giving to anyone she met. As a carpenter, she persued excellence and beauty with everything she touched. As a labor and delivery nurse, and finally a hospice nurse, she cared for the human spirit. Mom had a heart for the suffering and she would bring comfort and healing to those around her. She had a radiance about her that would light up any room. Mom was a force to be reckoned with always pushing you to do the hard but right thing. We truly admired her beauty, her hard work, and her passionate love for all of us. Mom was there for everyone and continually helped wherever she could. Her last words of wisdom to us was "Live, Love, and just Breath. Take time to understand and enjoy the moment. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised, but today we make a choice to be grateful, love, and learn." Today and everyday mom we are so grateful for you. We will never forget your toughness wrapped in love and kindness! In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Calumet Area would be appreciated.
