Pedro Agosto

Pedro Agosto, Sr., age 96 of East Chicago, Indiana went to God’s house on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.  Pedro was born on December 28, 1924 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to Ruperto Agosto and Celestina Davila.  He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Angelina Agosto; 4 children:  Pedro Jr. (Kristi) Agosto, Raul (Nora) Agosto, Roberto Agosto and Maritza Agosto; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brother, Raul Agosto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church, Indianapolis Boulevard at 144th Street, East Chicago, Indiana with Rev. Terry Steffens officiating.  Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, Indiana.  Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, April 26, 2021 and on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am.

Pedro retired from Inland Steel Company in 1986 after 38 years of service.  He was a proud Korean War U.S. Army Veteran.  Pedro enjoyed watching baseball (both Sox and Cubs), his bowl of ice cream, and tinkering on cars and anything mechanical.  He always smiled and greeted all his children’s friends with a “Hey” and a big hug.  Pedro is now in Heaven making all the angels laugh and will be missed here on Earth.  To share an online condolence, logon to www.fifefuneralhome.com
