Petra Robles, age 78 of East Chicago, IN passed away Friday, May 12, 2023. She is survived by 5 children: Guadalupe Robles, Fermin (Angela) Robles, Oralia (Mario) Gonzalez, Ana (Ubaldo) Echavarria and Rodrigo (Cecilia) Robles; grandchildren: Monica, Luz, Vanessa, Casandra, Adriana, Mario Jr., Erika and Tsi-Tsi-Ki; great grandchildren: Isabella, Leonardo, Giovanni, Isaiah and Jesse III; 2 sisters, Hermelinda and Natividad; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Fermin Robles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church, corner of Indianapolis Blvd. and 144th Street, East Chicago, IN with Rev. Nestor Varon officiating. Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Visitation at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023 and from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at the Church on Friday morning. (NOTE: Due to construction on Indianapolis Blvd., please use either Railroad, Tod, or Olcott Avenues to 142nd Street)
