Rev. John Daniels, age 96, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016.  Father Daniels is survived by his brother, Vincent (Frances) Daniels; 5 nieces and 3 nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen Daniels; sisters: Helen Brink and Emily Jurgensen; and brothers:  Walter and Charles Daniels.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1519 Hoffman St., Hammond, IN with Bishop Donald J. Hying officiating.  Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage, IN.  Father Daniels will lie in state at St. Margaret Mary Church from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass at the Church on Friday morning.  Prayers will begin at 10:00 am.
